Total Netherlands launches test with WhatsApp


Total Netherlands launched a three-month pilot with WhatsApp for its B2B customers. Total uses the WhatsApp manager tool from SaySimple.
A randomly selected group of customers are given the opportunity to ask questions or share comments through the WhatsApp messaging service. Total Netherlands wants to investigate whether this type of service fulfills the needs of its customers. If the test proves a success, the service will be extended - perhaps even to the B2C market.
Internal communications
In addition to the service for B2B, Total uses WhatsApp to share helpful and useful (mostly internal) information with its employees.
